Believers should make generosity one of their primary discipleship practices. There is a law that commands all of us to be helpful and kind. Even so, many Christians lack a solid understanding of the various forms of giving that the Bible recommends. There are three sessions in BACICS 201 that cover topics related to giving and money from the Bible. For obvious reasons, the original series was titled THE CHURCH JUST WANTS MY MONEY. People generally view the church's emphasis on tithing and other forms of giving as a ploy to extract financial support from them rather than as an expression of their own generosity.
